In seven hours, I, Jorge, and 11 others from our church small group are off to Uganda for ten days to help build 'Restoration Gateway' (www.restorationgateway.com). After I finish this blog, it's packing time.
I was pleased with myself a few minutes ago when I decided not to bring my beloved Aggie ring, so as to not draw attention to myself. Now if I could just get my skin tone a shade darker than winter snowman I'll be set.
This is probably the most excited I've been for a trip before. I'm interested in short vs. long-term medical missions and it's nice to continue pondering and praying about it outside the motherland.
For those I don't see again until I get back, have a great first half of August.
